About me - My Journey

To reveal business insights, uplift design cultures and drive product-led growth

Born in Boston in the United States, my background combines classical design and market strategy with anthropology. My early work centered in digital music, building new streaming and discovery tools for startups and music studios. After training at Parsons in New York City, I focused my research to explore new interaction design patterns for mobile and mixed reality. From here I secured several design research grants and awards that allowed me to travel widely, running studies from Amsterdam to Chennai, Barcelona to Montreal. Each city was a chance to look at technology anew, gathering insights on device and cultural habits that I now bring to each engagement.

Between 2010 – 2020, I directed a small product design studio in Brooklyn, where I helped our clients to launch and perfect new solutions across digital health, learning and media. To complement our design sprints and innovation consulting, we often trained product teams and startups on a wide range of user experience topics. This work brought me to Montreal, the city which I now call home.

Today, I work as independent consultant and regularly build research squads, managing up to a dozen experts to rapidly deliver value for business and non-profit customers. I help product leaders to validate assumptions, discover insights and boost adoption through dozens of mixed-method research techniques.

My approach - Innovation through empathy

In an age of high technology and fast-moving automation, it is all the more important to reinforce what makes us human — the diverse ways we love, laugh, struggle, trust and challenge ourselves to evolve every day. I see design as a change agent for society, a way to broaden perspective and bring people closer.

  • Dynamic. I move easily across departments and silos, from boardrooms and stand-ups to design workshops and user labs.
  • Adaptable. I build custom research workflows and teams for each project to advance business goals.
  • Global. Two decades of cross-cultural research and residency abroad informs my work, revealing new market opportunities.
